God, I love this song; music at its best. I’m talking about Anathema’s One Last Goodbye. This brilliant piece of art is unbelievably touching and poignant. Yes, poignant! Even if one hadn’t had an unpleasant experience of love or someone’s loss, they “will” feel the sympathy and sadness of this song, wholeheartedly! Lyrics and music match in the most perfect way; I have never heard any other song as powerful as O.L.G. in expressing a very pleasant sadness and sympathy. Pleasant sadness?! You’ll never know unless you listen for yourself.
Some say it’s about one of the band members’ grandma; others say it’s about love and a broken relationship. No matter what this song is all about, it will touch your heart. Promise!
